CHAN I WA , Amanda
Born in Hong Kong in 1999, currently lives in Taichung. Study at Department of Fine Arts in Tunghai University.
Drawing inspirations come mainly from observation of different relationships of everyday life. Collecting and compiling informations from the body, personal beliefs and dialogues during artistic creation. The creative medium includes space installations, painting installations, drawings, etc.
In the ordinary living state, the body is constantly wandering in between different spaces. Frictions, scars, and pulls, which are perceived in the outside world, unintentionally record the traces of transformation. They, later, morph into inner feelings. The works are mostly created with textiles, texture, oil paints, etc. By studying the relationship between various media and perspectives, an attempt was made to present this invisible mental state.

1999生於香港，現居台中，就讀於東海大學美術系。
從觀察日常生活中不同關係、收集及整理由身體帶來的訊息，並從個人信仰和藝術創作中對話汲取靈感。創作媒介包括空間裝置、繪畫性裝置、平面繪畫等。
生活中的身體不斷悠遊於不同空間，在外界感知到的磨擦、傷痕、拉扯，身體無意間紀錄着蛻變的痕跡，轉變成內在感受。作品主要以紡織品、纖維物、油彩等創作，研究以不同媒材與感知的關係，嘗試呈現這無形的精神狀態。
